What A Window Film Install Involves
We start by confirming the glass: size, type, interior or exterior application and what you need it to do. Privacy and frosted films are usually cut to the pane; decorative and branded graphics are printed or plotter-cut; safety and security films are specified for the glass thickness.
Installation is wet-applied: the glass is cleaned to a clinical standard, the film is floated into place on a slip solution, squeegeed out edge to edge and trimmed to a fine, even gap. Bubbles, dust and crooked edges are the mark of a rushed job, which is why Kevin does the work himself.
Frosted etch, gradient, patterned, one-way privacy, solar, safety, safety-stripe and full-colour printed window graphics are all options. We'll recommend the film for the purpose, not just the look.

Window film is quoted per project. These factors set the number:
Priced on the glass area. Large runs of identical panes are more economical than many small, odd-shaped ones.
Plain frosted film is the entry point. Printed graphics, patterned etch, security and solar films cost more.
Logos, lettering and patterns cut into the film add design and plotting time.
Ground-floor interior glass is quickest. Exterior, high or awkward panes may need lifts.

Can frosted film include our logo or a pattern?
Yes. Logos, lettering, stripes and patterns can be cut out of or into frosted film, or printed as a full graphic, so privacy and branding happen on the same pane.
Is window film installed inside or outside?
Most films go on the interior surface, which protects them and makes them last longer. Some exterior-rated films are used when the inside isn't accessible.
Can window film be removed?
Yes. Film is removable and we can take off old, faded or peeling film and decals before installing the new work.
What is safety-stripe film?
A band of frosted or printed film at eye height across glass walls and doors so people see the glass. It's a common requirement in offices with glass partitions.
